The Pipe Fitters Local Union 533 Training Center provides state-of-the-art instruction for apprentices and journeypersons in the pipe trades across the Kansas City region. Our mission is to develop highly trained professionals through a combination of classroom education and hands-on experience, preparing them for long-term, high-tech and high-demand careers in commercial and industrial piping, welding, and HVACR service.
Our five-year apprenticeship program is registered with the U.S. Department of Labor and includes over 1,250 hours of classroom training in areas such as safety, Building Information Modeling (BIM), welding, HVACR, commercial refrigeration, rigging, and process piping. In addition to receiving top-notch instruction, apprentices earn while they learn, gaining real-world experience on the job with Local 533 signatory contractors. Apprentices and their families enjoy healthcare benefits and build strong pensions throughout their careers.
